In Loving Memory of Benita Zamudio Lopez, a captivating woman whose presence effortlessly drew people to her side. She passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023 at the age of 84, surrounded by all of her beloved children, grandchildren, and all those who loved her. Born on March 12, 1939, she spent her formative years in La Coloña Morelos, raised by Maria Jesus Hurtado de Zamudio and Agapito Zamudio.
Benita was preceded in death by her husband Jose Maria Lopez, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Benita's life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and inspiration. Her incredible memory and the vivid way she recounted her life experiences left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of listening to her. Her stories were captivating, and through her words, she painted beautiful pictures of her journey through the years.
Despite facing numerous challenges during her upbringing and adult life, Benita carried a bright light wherever she went. Her warmth and charisma were unmatched, and she had a unique way of making everyone feel cherished and valued.
As a devoted parent, Benita's legacy lives on through her seven children: Griselda (Timothy W.), Rosa (Mark), Bertha (Arturo), Jose (Jessica), Gloria (Timothy F.), Ramona (Samuel), Amalia (Michael), two brothers: Edgardo (Teresa) and Ramon (Mercedes), eighteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of being touched by her love and kindness.
Benita's memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
