John Leonard

John (Jack) Leonard passed away on April 1, 2024, in the Banner-University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. He was at peace with himself.

Raised in Monroe, NY, he lived in many places; Middletown, NY, Haifa, Israel, and Houston, TX, before settling in Bisbee, AZ, 18 years ago.

Jack attended Monroe-Woodbury School System and Orange County Community College before graduating from Albany State. Jack then joined the Air Force and attained the rank of Sargent.

Jack Volunteered for over 10 years at The Friends of the Copper Queen Library bookstore in Bisbee where he met and became acquainted with many local residents, as well as visitors and tourists. He also volunteered his service to work as a docent for many community events over the years.

He is survived by his brother, Ed, and sister-in-law, Sandy, as well as nephews and grandnieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn and Marty Leonard, and his older brother, Marty.

He was interred according to his Baha'i beliefs in the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, AZ.
